In English, we looked at the features of letters. After learning these, children planned and wrote their own letter. These letters will eventually be sent to similar-aged children in a school in Canada as part of a Pen Pal exchange!
Our topic of heating and cooling has progressed nicely. We developed and performed an experiment to find out how the melting of ice is affected by temperature. Children predicted how long it would take for ice cubes to melt in cups that were placed in different locations. What locations did we use? What did you find out?
In PE, we started to use apparatus within our gymnastics lesson. Children learned how to safely mount and dismount a bench in different ways. Next week, children will start to put together their own routine using movements into and out of balances that use the apparatus (bench).
