In English, we mainly did our Autumn reading assessments. We also looked at using the possessive apostrophe and using plural noun rules. Several children found showing possession quite difficult, so we'll need to go through this a few more times. The work on plural noun rules was generally well done. The tricky part will be remembering to use these rules within their everyday writing!
In topic, we looked at how matter can change states. Children now know terms such as condensation and evaporation, along with melting and freezing. We'll look at using thermometers and how the Water Cycle works next week!
In PE, we continued our gymnastics unit by learning to use asymmetrical partner balances using different bases of support.
Top Spellers this week were (common homophones): Layla, Scarlett S, Owen W, Gracie, Ellie-Mae, Cerys, Amy, Kaisha, Harrison, Heather and Harvey. Nice to see some different pupils getting themselves onto the list! Well done. +2 HPs each.
