In English, children researched and took notes on the Romans to compliment the concepts they've covered already. They then went into groups of three to complete a Powerpoint presentation. These are mostly finished by now, but we won't get a chance to present them until we come back from term break obviously. Furthermore, we also looked at using conjunctions and the difference between compound sentences and complex sentences. Who remembers what a subordinate clause is?
Hopefully the children's Easter cards made it home in one piece. These cards linked nicely to their unit in RE.
We had a much better showing this week in spellings. It's good to see some different names up on the Top Ten Spellers list too. (I've forgotten to write down the list before leaving, I'll update here when I can! Sorry!) Summer Term Spellings will be handed out once we are back in April. Until then, keep studying the Autumn and Spring Term words, as they could come up on Summer Term spelling tests as a bonus!
The Good Behaviour Award went to Aflie this week for being such a good friend to Dominic and helping him out whenever needed.
The Good Work Award went to Ellie E for improving in maths so much.
Our Class DOJO winner this week was Hannah. Well done! +5 HPs!
Read and record the date and pages read in your yellow log book. I've had to speak directly to some of you who weren't keeping up to date, so I'll be on the lookout as soon as we get back to make sure you have read regularly!
