In English, we continued our focus on playscripts. We also took a brief look at pronouns. During the children's Big Write they wrote a playscript based on the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears!
Our new topic, The Romans, was introduced this week also. Children seem pretty excited to learn anything and everything about the Romans! They wrote out their enquiry questions which will help guide their learning focus throughout this unit. They also learned about Julius Caesar a bit too. We'll come back to him in later weeks though as he was a pretty influential person during his time!
Top Spellers this week were: Harry, Jasmin, Ella, Layla, Jaclyn, Sophie, Ellie E, Erin and Grace. Well done to you all! +2HPs each.

The Good Work Award went to Millie this week for her continued improvement in her handwriting neatness. Keep practising, you're getting there!
The Good Behaviour Award went to Tom for setting a good example by waiting his turn patiently.
Well done to you both!
The Class DOJO winner this week is yet another draw. We had four children tied on 6 DOJOs each, so we'll carry it over to next week!
Homework this week is more practise with division. Make sure you check through your answers carefully.
Remember to bring in your PE kit and reading folder. Remember your football kit for those going to the tournament on Tuesday. Also remember that Thursday is World Book Day. Children can dress up as their favourite character from a book they have read. They should also bring in a book they have enjoyed reading as we will be conducting book reviews/show-and-tell sessions.
Have a great weekend everyone!
