In English, children have written a story setting, build-up/problem and resolution. They wrote these sections separately using the story plan they made last week. On Friday, we had Story Time! Children read their story aloud to the class, using the PowerPoint backgrounds they made in computing lesson. This went really well and I believe the children enjoyed hearing the different stories. All children were provided with feedback from their peers that they can think about and utilise for next time.
In topic, children have now learned the parts of an ear. Children know that there is an outer, middle and inner ear and they are also familiar with the workings within the ear. Check out this site for further information.
Unfortunately, our school Sports Day had to be postponed due to the wet weather. We're trying to sort out another day in the near future, so stay tuned!
Spellings this week is further time to practise for the end-of-year spelling quiz! Children have their Y3/4 spelling list to study. I suggest only going over a few words at a time, otherwise it's too much!
The Good Work Award this week went to Jacob for showing perseverance with learning his 8 times tables.
The Good Behaviour Award this week went to Charlotte for working well within a group.
The Class DOJO Winner this shared again this week between Logan and Eve A.
Well done to you all. +5 HPs each.
We also managed to win the Best Attendance Award this week. Woohoo! :-)
Make sure you continue to read and record in your yellow log book. Also be sure to study your times tables and spellings. Please have your PE in school from Monday.
Have a great weekend everyone!
