In English, children have learned how to use speech marks. Using the correct punctuation within the speech is the tricky part. We'll continue to practise this skill in the weeks to come. Children also learned about singular possession and plural possession and how this apostrophe use is different from the use within contractions. This is another tough concept for children, so again, we'll continue to work at this. Have a go at this game for a bit more help if needed.
In topic, children have learned what matter is and how everything is either in the state of a solid, liquid or gas. They also learned the terms that describe a change in state (melting, freezing, evaporation and condensation). We'll look at the Water Cycle next week to further the understanding of these terms!
