In English, children learned how to write description using the DADWAVER(S) framework. We started off with using just the DAD part, then they peer-reviewed their work. After this, they re-wrote the beginning to include the improvements noted by their peers. Overall, these descriptions turned out great! Most need to continue to work on using enough description, along with using speech (dialogue) properly still. Homework this week is more practise using this framework! Let's see what you've got! Be creative!
In topic, we completed our unit on the Mediterranean by answering our enquiry questions from the start of the unit and our post-learning assessment. We started our new unit on sound by writing new enquiry questions and completing our pre-learning assessment. This unit 'sounds' pretty good, if I say so myself.
Top Spellers this week were: Rhys, Sophie S, Sophie E, Ellie, Logan, Jacob, James, Eve A and Skye. Well done! +2 HPs each!

Next week is assessment week, so make sure you're here and raring to go by getting plenty of sleep. Be sure to read and record in your yellow log book. Also make sure to study your times table and spellings. You'll need your PE kit on Monday and Wednesday again as usual.
Have a great weekend everyone!
