In English, we have been learning about persuasion. The children know all of the features of a persuasive text and have used them to try to persuade me to buy their favourite chocolate bar in both a text and a poster. We also looked at how we show possession in sentences. Have a go at writing your own sentence in the comments section that shows possession correctly for +1 HP!
In topic, we have looked at what a melting point is. Children were amazed to find out that if the temperature gets hot enough that even a tin can can turn into a liquid. What are some of the melting points you can remember? Here is the website I used in class!
We had another good showing of Top Spellers this week. Well done to: Reece, Ella, Mae, Ellie E, Sophie, Ethan E, Dominic, Jasmin and Jaclyn. +2 HPs each!

The award for Good Work went to Harry this week for doing so well on this maths. The award for Good Behaviour went to Ella for always showing good manners and being polite. Congratulations to you both!
Our class DOJO winner was a draw between Reece and Jaclyn, thanks in part to the work they had posted on the Awesome Wall. +10 HPs to you both and well done!
Read and record in your yellow log book. Be sure to bring your reading folder and PE kit back in with you on Monday.
Children in Need on Friday was a big success. Thank-you to all that brought cakes in and/or gave a donation. We spoke as a class about how lucky we are and what things we are thankful for. The children spoke about many things they were thankful for which was nice to hear.
Make sure you are bringing in hats, gloves and coats. As the weather starts to get colder we need to make sure we are prepared!
Have a great weekend everyone!
