In English, children made point form notes from an information text on what the Romans brought to Britain. We then looked at the features of non-chronological reports. After children learned these features, they picked three of the sub-areas to focus on and wrote a non-chronological report. I think the class has a new found understanding of how much of an impact the Romans had, and continue to have, on Britain.
In topic, we continued with our Roman life PowerPoint presentations. The slide shows are pretty much done now, complete with text and picture animations. Now the children are preparing for their presentation to the class. We should get to this next week at some point. In any case, I'm looking forward to some fact-filled and interesting presentations!
