In English, we finally finished our class novel, The Butterfly Lion. It's a good book that makes you think! I hope everyone enjoyed it! We also looked at some poetry. Children made their own Haiku poems about the African animal or Mediterranean country they studied. The other Year 4 class did the same so we'll put these poems into a booklet. Once finished, I'll put this booklet near the office so everyone can check it out!
Homework for over the half-term break is a further chance to practise writing poetry...children can write a few Valentine's Day poems! Use the poetic devices we've learned already. Try for a few different formats too!
In topic, we had our Mediterranean Travel Fair! Both Mr Snelling's and Mrs Cowey's Year 3 classes, along with Mr Craig and Mr Pinkney, came by to check out our fair. Children did a great job promoting their Mediterranean country and showing off their brochure and poster. I'm super proud of everyone for doing so well answering the assortment of questions that they were asked! Well done Year 4! Check out some of the pictures from the fair...
