In English, we focused on poetry. Children tried to write their own poems. They chose from Acrostic Poems, Rhyming Couplets, Limericks and Haiku Poems. Once they wrote a few out, they picked their favourite and peer reviewed them. After this, they typed them out using Microsoft Word, changing the font type, style, size and location. They also put a border around their poem and added a by line. We'll back these next week so the children can take them home and display them proudly!
The children did a great job performing their dance for the school on Wednesday for Cultural Heritage Day. It was a lot of moves to learn in a short period of time!
