In English we looked at writing persuasively again, along with how to properly carry out an orderly debate. Children debated the notion that zoos are good/not good. They also wrote a persuasive text to persuade people that energy drinks are bad for your health, which they are!
This focus on energy drinks tied in to our topic work this week also. We wrote up the results of the experiment we started last week: testing the effects of different liquids on eggshells (which are similar to the enamel on our teeth). We tested energy drink, milk, water and fruit juice. The results were astounding!
Were you surprised? Let me know what you thought of this experiment in the comments section. We also learned the names and types of bones of the body. Here's the challenge we tried in class.
Top Spellers this week were: Ella, Sophie, Ellie E, Brooke, Ethan F, Erin, Joshua and Lucy. Well done! +2 HPs each!

Our class DOJO winner was a 5-way draw so I'll carry it over to next week!
Homework this week is more practise using comparison signs. Remember: big points to little!
Be sure to read and record in your yellow log book the date and pages read. Make sure you bring in your PE kit on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!
