In English, children worked with recounts. They reviewed the features of recounts, then worked up to writing their own. Children seemed to enjoy the short video I used as a basis for their learning this week. It can be viewed again here. Furthermore, we looked at using adverb starters to improve description. Remember the comma if a short pause is needed! Try writing some of your own descriptive sentences starting with an adverb in the comments!
In topic, children researched the different countries that have a coastline on the Mediterranean Sea. They then paired up and chose one of those countries to focus on. Their project is to create a travel brochure, noting famous sites to see, foods to try, weather to expect and the average cost of things within that specific country. Feel free to collect further information at home to bring in and include with the information you've already collected.

Homework is due in on Tuesday still, and we will have our spelling test then also. Remember PE full kits, to read and record in your new (easier to follow) yellow log books. Practise those times tables and targets too!
Have a great long weekend everyone!
