In maths, we reviewed how to recognise lines of symmetry within shapes, along with reflecting shapes. Children found this tricky again, so the homework this week is further practise on this skill.
In English, children worked with types of clauses within sentences. Specifically, children now know the difference between main and subordinate clauses. They experimented with the placement of the subordinate clause within a sentence also. Write some sentences in the comments section that show good use of main and subordinate clauses! Possible HPs up for grabs!
In topic, children researched facts about the Mediterranean Sea. They were also put into groups and given their Mediterranean country to start to find information on. Children will be making travel brochures for their respective country in the next few lessons.
Top Spellers this week (ou blend) were: Eve A, James, Jacob, Logan, Skye, Sophie E, Ajay, Alanah, Rhys, Charlotte, Ellie, Annalise, Daniel, Jasmine and Sophie S! Our best spelling week yet! +2 HPs each!
