In English, we looked at how to include more description by using the five senses. Children wrote their own fantasy setting and fantasy character description. To find out if they included enough description, children swapped books and tried to draw their partner's setting and character from their written description! This was an eye-opener for some to show how important good description is!
In topic, we have completed our Mediterranean assessment and moved on to our new unit, Animals, Bones and Teeth. Children have come up with enquiry questions to guide their learning and they have also completed their pre-learning assessment. Food chains were described and children had a go at making their own. Homework this week is another chance to make some food chain examples!
Our swimming sessions are going well. We'll be going on Friday again next week!
