In English, children finished off their information brochures on their African animal. They then presented their information to the class with their partner. This was quite interesting and children learned a good variety of facts about the various animals. Children also learned what it is to have 'aspirations' and wrote about what they would like to do when they're older and what they might have to do to get there. Lastly, children wrote their own information text about a famous landmark in their Extended Writing books. What famous landmark did you write about? What was a cool fact you remember?
In topic, children used 2Question in Purple Mash to create their own branch tree diagram for a selection of animals. Children used questions such as: 'Is your animal a predator?', 'Does your animal have four legs?' and 'Can your animal fly?' We'll continue with these sorting diagrams next week by adding pictures!

Years 3, 4 and 5 were lucky enough to get invited to see a pantomime on Thursday afternoon. The children seemed to really enjoy it as it had lots of new music and loads of opportunities to join in the fun.
Homework this week is some further practise using coordinating conjunctions. It's due in by Tuesday as usual.
Remember to read at least three times a week and record what you read and the date in your yellow log book. Study those times tables and spellings too. Be sure to have your PE kit in school too please.
Today was Phoebe's last day in our class as she's moving house and will be attending a different school. On behalf of the entire class, we wish you well Phoebe. You'll be missed!
Have a great weekend everyone.
