In English, we looked at what DADWAVER(S) stands for again. Children found the particular parts associated with DADWAVER(S) within a descriptive paragraph I wrote, then later on, they had a go on their own, focusing on just the DAD part. We also did some work on using a dictionary with accuracy and speed, along with a comprehension task about Julius Caesar.
In topic, children finished their Roman PowerPoint presentations and then presented them to the class! These went really well considering some children had not even used the program before! We'll finish off the unit next week and make a start on our new topic for next half-term: sound! Did you hear that? I SAID SOUND! :-)
Top spellers this week (Latin Prefixes) were: Ellie-Mae, Cerys, Amilia, Scarlett S, Krissy, Max and Harvey. Well done. +2 HPs each!
Spellings for next week: Latin Prefix Review.
The Good Work Award this week went to Corey for his effort in maths.
The Good Behaviour Award this week went to Maya for showing persistence with her learning.
The Class DOJO Winner this week is still a draw so we'll carry the points over yet again!
Well done to you both. +5 HPs each.
Next week we'll be an assessment week ahead of half-term break. Be sure to keep up with your reading and record in your reading record. Also be sure to continue to study your spellings and times tables.
Have a great weekend everyone! Enjoy the nice weather!
