In English, we have been looking at playscripts. Children know the features of a playscript and they worked with their table partner to make their own mythical playscript with an Ancient Greek theme.
We've tested the further homophones from the previous week and we've looked at words ending in 'ure'. The words given to the children to study are: treasure, measure, exposure, leisure and pleasure. Children need to come up with other words that have the 'ure' ending and write them in their spelling books for next week. They will be tested on the five words listed above and five chosen randomly from the class!
In topic, children have completed their information posters! They turned out really well. Check them out for yourself!
The Good Behaviour Award this week went to Jasmine for catching up well with everything she missed while off poorly. The Good Achievement Award this week went to Kenzi for her improved work in general. Well done to you both! +5 HPs each!
The Class DOJOs was a 5-person draw this week, so we'll carry those points over to next week!
Remember to read and record in your yellow log book as always. Be sure to practise your spellings and times tables too.
A reminder for parents: parents' eve is next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Your child has brought home their day/time slip. Any concerns, just ask.
Have a great weekend everyone!
