Up high, in the middle of the stadium, stood the amazing Ronaldo. He went to leave the terrible match. Shoving his hands in the deep, dark pockets of his ridiculously expensive suit, he shrugged his shoulders. Sadly he left the stadium but felt relieved to get out. He felt a pain in his heart that his sport was dying. Where had the passion gone?

The audience sat in total silence, hypnotized by the images flashing across the giant screen. Amazing. Mind blowing. Unbelievable. The footballers were running like cheetahs. “Flawed!” bellowed the Professor Parkinson boldly. “76% probability of missing the target.” He continued while Ibrahimovic was doing his signature move on the screen. “Wreckless…” Changing the slide to an image of a Brazilian player, Neymar, doing his best move that anyone could enjoy. “50% chance of failure.” Transferring the picture to Ronaldo with his high priced sports car with built in Jacuzzi, there was a small ripple of laughter from the second floor. “Even the greatest players of time make mistakes. They take too many risks.” The professor continued with the end of his speech. “After all they’re only human.” Dramatically pausing, the professor tapped his head. “But what if they weren’t?”

The sun slowly got covered by thick grey clouds while the rain started smashing against the ground. Bang, the footballer came off the clone. Wayne Rooney had the ball, the clone hit him and shook him off the ball. He shook his head in desperation.
“Boring!” shouted the stranger in frustration. In the middle of the stadium, Ronaldo stood up in disappointment. Slowly he shook his head in despair. Shoving his hands in his pocket he thought ‘Why did I retire?’
A few hours later, he found himself wandering the streets of a favela.

The misty dark clouds erupted with tears and the rain echoed around the dark gloomy stadium like a drum. Bang. Wayne Rooney found himself on the floor in despair.
“Boring!” a voice hollered through the shivering silence. Up high in the oval stadium stood the legend himself, Ronaldo. Quickly standing up, he shook his head. Leaving the stadium he felt dejected. Depressed. Heartbroken. Was that what football had come to?
